Manzana Chile

Manzana Chiles are bulbous, golf-sized peppers that can be likened to spicy bell peppers and are native to the Andes region. When ripe, Manzana chiles have a fruity, sweet-spicy taste and although it is preferably used fresh for salsas due to its thick and juicy flesh, dried Manzanas make a good substitute when rehydrated by soaking in water.
