Juniper Berries
Juniper berries come from an evergreen shrub that grow wild in chilly climates, such as in the Scandinavian regions. It is most famous for production of gin and other spirits. Juniper berries have a fresh woody scent, highly coveted for its bitter flavor that reminds you of gin. The ingredient is frequently used in Northern European cuisines, and makes for great meat rubs especially for duck, venison and lamb.
