Cinnamon sticks (Ceylon)
Ceylon cinnamon, or ‘true cinnamon’, has an aroma of delicate warm wood with quiet notes of fruitiness. Ceylon cinnamon is harvested from a small evergreen tree native to Sri Lanka. Ceylon cinnamon sticks are great with poached spiced fruits, Indian curries, aromatic rice and braised pork shoulder. The cinnamon sticks can be brewed to enhance the taste of tea, coffee, cocoa, and even water. Use ceylon as a lighter substitute to cassia cinnamon.
